Benefits of Using A Glass Water Pipe & Different Variants of Water-Pipes

Glass is the most commonly used material for the manufacturing of water pipes since it adds no aroma or flavor to the smoke. When a piece of glass is heated, it does not vaporize and releases no toxic fume. The glass is considered to be a clean material due to this reason. You can enjoy the original flavor of cannabis when using a glass water pipe. Pipes made from wood or bamboo release a non-toxic fume when the weed is lit up. This fume is harmless; however, it alters the original flavor of the cannabis. On the other hand, pipes made from metal release toxic fumes. It alters the flavor of the weed alongside causing illness. It is prudent to use smoking pipes made of glass due to this reason.

There are different types of glass water pipes based upon their design, size, and the type of glass. Water-pipes made of borosilicate glass are costlier than pipes made of soda-lime glass. Water-pipes can be divided into two categories depending upon their design, such as a bubbler or a bong. The basic components of a bubbler and bong remain the same. They are both made up of a bowl, a water-chamber, a neck and a mouthpiece. However, the arrangement of these components in a bubbler is different from their arrangement in a bong.

The water-chamber is used to hold the water and the bowl is used to pack the weed. The smoke travels through the water after coming out of the bowl. It loses heat, ash and tar due to this reason. The filtered and cooler smoke travels up the neck of a glass water pipe and reaches the mouthpiece. Thus, you can enjoy cooler and smoother hits when using a water-pipe.

In a bubbler, the bowl is usually located above the water-chamber, and it is attached to one end of the water-chamber via a small tubular structure. The stem either extends from the other end of this glass water pipe and moves upward, or it extends from the side at the other end. The stem may extend straight out of the side of the water-chamber or may form an angle. The location of the mouthpiece depends upon the extension of the stem or neck.

The arrangement of the bowl, mouthpiece and neck is different in bongs. In this type of glass water pipe, the bowl is always located at the side of the water-chamber forming an angle. The bowl is connected to the water-chamber via a classic or diffused downstem which is not present in a bubbler. The mouthpiece always remains at the top of the water-chamber irrespective of the type of the bong. In recycler bongs, there are multiple stems or necks. The subsidiary necks meet with a central neck which extends upwards to the mouthpiece. These bongs may be fitted with smoking accessories along with the basic components. Visit Here: Tank Glass
